The following weapons have been officially confirmed for GTA VI through Rockstar Games’ trailers (first trailer on December 4, 2023, and second trailer on May 6, 2025), screenshots, and promotional materials. I’ve compiled this list using information from the GTA Wiki, GTABase, and the Internet Movie Firearms Database (IMFDB), focusing on what’s directly shown or mentioned in official content.
- Hammer: Seen in the first trailer at 0:51, wielded by an unnamed woman in a controversial scene dubbed the “Hamlet Woman” by fans. It’s a melee weapon, likely inspired by real-world hammers, used for close combat.
- Pistol (Glock 17/19-based): Appears in the first trailer at 1:20, held by Lucia during a robbery scene. Promotional renders show it with Glock Gen 2-style non-railed frame but with a Gen 5 ambidextrous slide stop. It’s also seen with a Glock-style trigger guard and an automatic switch on the backplate in some images, as noted by IMFDB.
- Pistol (M1911-based): Spotted in the first trailer at 1:22, wielded by Jason during the same robbery scene. Promotional screenshots show a modern M1911 variant with a weapon light, carried by a police officer and the character Raul. It has “Capo” markings, possibly a parody of “Staccato,” and a Beretta 92FS-style trigger guard.
- Pistol (Bersa Firestorm 380-based): Seen in a promotional render of Lucia on Rockstar’s website. It’s a compact handgun, identified by its design, tucked away by Lucia in another image.
- Pistol (Beretta 92FS): Appears in the second trailer at 2:10, used by Jason during a drive-by. It’s identified as a Beretta (not the Taurus PT92 from GTA V) due to its slide-mounted safety/decocking lever, with firing sounds borrowed from the Borchardt C-93 in Red Dead Redemption 2.
- Pistol (SIG-Sauer P320 with Glock elements): Seen in the first trailer at 1:20, also held by Lucia. Promotional images show “9mm” markings on the frame, a Glock-style disassembly tab, and a P320-style striker backplate. It’s also held by the character Boobie Ike in a screenshot.
- AR-15-style Rifle: Spotted in promotional screenshots, held by a hunter in Mount Kalaga’s forest. It features a 20-round STANAG magazine, a stylized Leupold Mark 6 optic, and a longer barrel. Another image shows Jason with a similar rifle marked “Duke” under the brass deflector.
- Springfield Armory M1A: Seen in a promotional screenshot of alligator hunters posing with trophies. It’s fitted with a synthetic stock and an Aimpoint CompM2 reflex sight, chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO.
Weapons in Ammu-Nation Displays (Not Wielded)
These weapons are visible in promotional images of an Ammu-Nation store but not confirmed as usable:
- Ruger 10/22: Hanging on the wall behind the Ammu-Nation proprietor.
- Milkor Mark 14: Displayed with a desert tan finish and an Armson OEG reflex sight, chambered for 40x46mm grenades.
Total Confirmed Weapons: 8 wielded weapons (1 melee, 7 firearms) and 2 additional display weapons (10 total).
Note: This list only includes weapons explicitly shown in official trailers or promotional materials. Some sources, like GTABase, mention additional weapons (e.g., Knife, Golf Club, Speargun, Assault Rifle) based on the September 18, 2022 leaks, but these are not officially verified by Rockstar as of May 12, 2025, so I’ve excluded them to maintain accuracy. Similarly, a LinkedIn leak from a Rockstar employee in 2023 mentioned chainsaws and fire extinguishers, but this isn’t confirmed in official materials. Posts on X mention weapons like the MP5, AK-47, and grenade launchers, but these are speculative or based on unverified interpretations of screenshots, so they’re not included. GTA V launched with 59 weapons, and GTA Online now has over 100, so we can expect GTA VI to feature a much larger arsenal at launch, potentially 60-100 weapons, including melee, firearms, and throwables.
